Madan Kulkarni is a Chicago-area entrepreneur, cultural advocate, and community builder whose career reflects a rare blend of business leadership, creative vision, and public service. A management graduate with experience spanning media, real estate, consumer marketing and branding ventures, hospitality, and the arts, his early journey began as the product manager of a prominent toiletries brand in South Asia, and soon after included serving as the Managing Editor of India Tribune, the long-running English-language newspaper serving the Indian-American community in the US. He then went on to head multiple ventures in residential and commercial real estate development, consumer brand launches, and artistic promotional ventures featuring some legendary names from around the world.

He later translated his understanding of people, culture, and celebration into The Meadows Club, a large-scale convention and banquet destination in Rolling Meadows. Conceived as more than an event venue, it became a setting for weddings, concerts, fundraisers, corporate gatherings, and multicultural programs—earning recognition for its adaptable design, hospitality, and ability to bring diverse communities together.

For more than three decades, Madan has championed music, literature, fine art, performing arts, and cross-cultural understanding. In 2001, he and his wife, Shebani, established Dhrishti in Chicago to produce thoughtfully themed cultural experiences combining music, performance, visual art, and literature. This work helped create a sustained platform for artists and audiences from different backgrounds to meet, learn, and celebrate together. His broader cultural initiatives have continued through ambitious hospitality and arts projects designed around the belief that food, music, art, and shared experiences can bridge communities. This also led to the launch of the Dhrishti Foundation in India, which empowers, supports, and trains underprivileged children, women, and artistes in Indian classical music, dance, and yoga. The venture is currently run by his family and headed by his sister.

His commitment to service is equally personal. Following the loss of their daughter Meghna, Madan and his spouse Shebani established Mission Meghna in her memory. The nonprofit supports underserved children, girls, and women through education, skills training, life coaching, food, wellness resources, and partnerships with local and international charities.
